Fort Lauderdale is a city located in Broward County, Florida. It is the county seat of the county and part of the metropolitan area of South Florida. It is known as "Venice of the United States". The total area is 93.3 square kilometers and the total population is 273500 (2013). In the 2000 census of the United States, the total population of the city was 152397. Sometimes it is also called "ft. liquordale", because there are many bars and clubs in the city, and the party atmosphere is very strong. It was once known for a large number of spring break activities, but residents' complaints and stricter law enforcement in 1980 reduced the climax of spring break in Fort Lauderdale to a more moderate level.

Braunschweig is a city in the east of Lower Saxony, Germany. It is located in North Central Germany and close to the central canal. The number of residents is about 250000 (1983). It was the capital of Brunswick until 1946. Before Brunswick county was abolished in 1974, it was the county capital of the county.
